yesterday… all the craft I managed to do in a day… :)

Having a bit of a break from sewing at the moment, but it feels nice as more and more jewellery ideas are flowing… so yes, keeping in with the creative spirit ๐Ÿ™‚

Yesterday we had a fab creative day, made some meringues (before I could gram my camera, they were all gone, he he), first of its kind :).

Then spent some time with colors, textures, heat and plastic:

ย I can see some brooches in progress… ๐Ÿ˜‰

Then came some silk paper making ๐Ÿ™‚

Maggie making her paper ๐Ÿ™‚

This is only the first stage of making silk paper, laying out the silk fiber in two layers and the way of the fibers should cross each other on the layers. Then it gets to be covered with plastic mesh fabric, soak through with warm soapy water then soak it through with glue mixed with water. The kit and inspiration came from an artist we saw on a local expo, Stevie. Her work is so so beautiful!!! Anyway, the silk paper is drying at the moment… we made two, one in orange and warm yellowy shades as you can see on the images and another one in pinks and purples… no pics of that, but wait till they dry out ๐Ÿ™‚

And the final craft attempt of yesterday is

well, work in progress…gona be a necklace once I finish it ๐Ÿ™‚

In the mean time, have a look at the new necklace and earring I made combining glass beads, silver wire and ribbons.

And remember, crafting is fun, but doing it with others is the best!!!!

Have a happy weekend everyone!

Je veux more creative and productive days! :)

I have been on and off about spring lately… but it just makes me so so happy to see all this sunshine.

Today I went outside, inhaled all the warmth and dug out a gorgeous vintage canvas fabric, I bought ages ago and started making… and here it is, a spring bag!!!

It is far from perfect but it is my absolute favorite so far… I used a D-ring to make the shoulder strap adjustable and also a green satin ribbon and a hand made, light pink, ceramic button to close it. And I even tested it ๐Ÿ˜‰ – didn’t wanted be miss-lead by the flowery look. The result – definitely sturdy!

Thank you for dropping by, see you next time, but until then, listed to her!

easy Tuesday mornings…

Last week I made this bag… still stock with the raspberry colored linen ๐Ÿ™‚ and with this songย :). I think they both match eachother and perfectly accompany this lovely spring sunshine and warm smells that is happening right outside my window.

So people, if you have the chance even for five minutes, just enjoy the warmth and use the creativity of the light that is spreading everywhere!

Also, started crocheting a top, inspired by Maggie… and I was ever so impressed, as I managed to follow a pattern withoutย difficulty… gosh, I felt invincible ๐Ÿ™‚ Will post it as soon as I’m finished!

Until next time, happy sunny Tuesday everyone!

Raspberry Paradise

I started this bag last night and finished it this morning… and I found that it takes just oneย Coldplay – Paradise to sew around the top of the bag… so as you can guess, I listened to this song quite a few time while making itย ๐Ÿ™‚ All and all I enjoyed it…

The best part is when I pin the lining together with the shoulder straps and the outer bag and the first time you can see the outlines of a finished product! Something I couldn’t do a couple of months ago! Amazing! ( I started sewing for the first time – out of curiosity – with a sewing machine in January/2012)Loving it!

Also before I forget, that only up-cycled materials were used (except for the lace trim)

So here it is, today’s creativeness in a raspberry color… and thanks to Simon, it is already sold! Thank you Simon, it’s amazing!ย ๐Ÿ™‚

Don’t forget to drop by next time!
