One stick good… two sticks good too after all ;-)

My first…ever, knitted product…
Tadaaaaaaa πŸ™‚

I did it, I have knitted something that is decent enough to call a product. Super proud and ready to learn more.

So here you see my latest baby blanket for a work colleague, Rizelle and her new to be baby.

Starting from a very impulsive decision, I have knitted the middle, cream part of the blanket, out of DK Smoothie, and crocheted the edge with white cotton.

Also as a present to her, I made a bag, big enough, to carry essentials, like nappies πŸ™‚

The bag is made out of vintage upholstery (or curtain) fabric I found in Stone, I used cotton lace to add a bit ofΒ vintage/girly touch, and it is lined with a lovely floral patterned poly-cotton fabric.

Well, this was a lovely journey and hopefully more posts to come documenting my adventures on the realms of knitting πŸ™‚

Happy Easter everyone and stay creative xxx

Lean, mean baby blanket making machine :)

Oh yes, one down another one to go… babies are being born around me πŸ™‚

Just finished this one for my friend, Szende, who just had her second baby, a little boy – Aron. Happy Birth Day Aron!

And also I made this little elephant toy for him. I must admit, I really enjoy making toys πŸ™‚ it might be the next best thing for me.

Aaaaand, the next blankie is going to be, specially to my surprise, KNITTED. Yes, I am an avid crocheter, but I just had this urge to buy a pair of knitting needles and start knitting. Then spent half an hour watching knitting tutorials on youtube, and it finally dropped after 15 years, I can knit πŸ˜€ !!!

I love it, although it takes more time… but doesn’t use as much yarn tho. So there are pros and cons.

Gosh I had enough of cream yarn :))

Have a lovely crafty spring wherever you are!
